We are delighted that you are considering Monticello Christian Church for your wedding. We look forward to working with you to make your wedding a memorable day and to help you prepare for a healthy marriage. We are a Christian Church and therefore the ceremony will be faith-based and the expectation is that all persons involved will be respectful of the church.
DATES Weddings are booked on the church calendar only when the date is free from other events and half of the cost has been paid. Only one wedding is scheduled per day. No weddings will be scheduled on holidays or Sundays. The entire cost of the wedding must be paid one week prior to the date or the wedding will be canceled.
PREMARITAL COUNSELING Premarital counseling with Rev. Dodson is required for all couples who wish to be married at MCC. Sessions are not in "cookie cutter" fashion. Sessions are tailored around couples for growth in Christ and their future marriage. Counseling is a vital part of maintaining a marriage that lasts.
STAFF The pastor of Monticello Christian Church must perform your wedding. We do not allow the building usage for persons who do not wish to use the pastor for the service. Outside pastors may take part at the discretion of the Montcello Christian Church pastor. The pastor will meet with you to determine the format of the service including the decision on what music is appropriate. Guest musicians must be approved by the resident Music Director. No sound systems may be brought in.
